Sidney Health Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Maria Marchenko, MD, a board-certified pediatrician, to its medical staff. Dr. Marchenko joined the organization in December and is now seeing patients at the Pediatric Clinic located in the Professional Building on 14th Avenue Southwest, adjacent to Sidney Health Center’s campus.

The Pediatric Clinic team includes Dr. Marchenko and Joan Turek, PA, providing care for children from birth through age 18, with care often extending to age 21 for patients with chronic conditions. Services include routine wellness visits, growth and development monitoring, immunizations, treatment of acute illnesses, and management of chronic conditions. As patients transition into adulthood, the pediatric team works closely with family and internal medicine providers to ensure continuity of care.

Dr. Marchenko brings nearly 20 years of experience in pediatric care, including specialized training in pediatric critical care medicine and a background spanning rural and community healthcare settings. She earned her medical degree magna cum laude from Russian State Medical University in Moscow and completed her pediatric residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. She further advanced her training through pediatric critical care fellowships at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.

To celebrate Dr. Marchenko’s arrival and highlight recent renovations, Sidney Health Center will host a Professional Building Open House located at 1405 4th St SW in Sidney on January 16 from 1–3 p.m. The public is invited to tour the newly remodeled Pediatrics and Outreach Clinics and meet Dr. Marchenko during the event.
