Sidney Health Center Welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon James Ingram, DO
October 27, 2026

Sidney Health Center is pleased to welcome James R. Ingram, DO, to its Orthopedic Care team. Dr. Ingram will begin seeing patients in early November, bringing more than 30 years of orthopedic surgery experience to the MonDak region.

Dr. Ingram is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating joint pain, injuries and other conditions affecting bones and joints. His areas of expertise include total hip, knee and shoulder replacements, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports medicine and fracture care. He also has extensive experience with revision surgery, helping patients who experience problems with a previous joint replacement and may need another surgery.

Dr. Ingram believes orthopedic care should be tailored to each patient's individual needs and goals. His approach focuses on understanding how a condition affects a patient's daily life and recommending the most appropriate treatment, whether that means exploring nonsurgical options or considering surgery.

“I chose medicine because it offered me the opportunity to participate in the healing arts and to teach,” said Dr. Ingram. “I find great satisfaction in helping patients overcome physical challenges, restore function and improve their quality of life. To me, medicine is both a science and an art, requiring technical skill, sound judgment and an understanding of each patient as an individual.”

“Dr. Ingram brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to Sidney Health Center,” said Jennifer Doty, Sidney Health Center CEO. “Having another experienced orthopedic surgeon on our team gives us more opportunities to care for patients with a wide range of orthopedic needs. We are fortunate to have him joining us and look forward to the positive impact he will make for our patients and community.”

Throughout his career, Dr. Ingram has provided orthopedic care in hospitals and medical practices across the country. He currently practices at Western Arizona Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Bullhead City, Arizona.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Ingram has been involved in training future orthopedic surgeons. He previously served as Chairman of Surgery and Director of an Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at St. James–Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois. His experience as both a surgeon and educator has been an important part of his career.

Dr. Ingram earned his medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital and Medical Center.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ingram enjoys spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and four-legged companions. He also enjoys photography, shooting sports, traveling and motorcycle riding, which give him opportunities to explore new places, experience new adventures and enjoy life beyond his medical career.

Dr. Ingram joins orthopedic surgeon Michael Calfee, MD, and Adrianne Bryant, PA-C, as part of Sidney Health Center's growing Orthopedic Care team. Together, they offer patients throughout the MonDak region expanded access to orthopedic care close to home, including clinic visits, surgical services, and coordinated care with imaging and rehabilitation.

To schedule an appointment with one of the orthopedic specialists, please call the Sidney Health Center Orthopedic Clinic at 406-488-2277.
