Sidney Health Center Earns Quality Improvement Award
June 29, 2026
Sidney Health Center has received the 2026 Quality Improvement Award from Yellowstone Insurance Exchange, RRG for its commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement. The award was presented during the Yellowstone Annual Meeting & Risk Management Conference held in June at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. The recognition highlights the collaborative efforts of Sidney Health Center's Environmental Services, Nursing, Infection Prevention, and Quality teams to strengthen and standardize processes related to the care of patients requiring isolation precautions.
Through a Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) project, staff from multiple departments worked together to standardize isolation room turnover processes across the organization. The initiative included enhanced staff education, dedicated isolation cleaning carts, updated guidelines, and improved access to specialized supplies and equipment to support patient safety and infection prevention efforts.
“Patient and staff safety is always our top priority,” said Jennifer Doty, Chief Executive Officer. “This award recognizes the hard work and dedication of our Environmental Services and clinical teams who work every day to provide a safe and healing environment for our patients. We are incredibly proud of their commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality care.”
The project improved consistency across departments, strengthened staff knowledge and accountability, and reinforced Sidney Health Center's commitment to patient safety and high-quality care. Staff engagement, collaboration, and a shared focus on continuous improvement were key factors in the success of the initiative.
