Sidney Health Center is pleased to announce the addition of Kaci Dean, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to the medical staff as an advanced practice provider in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Clinic.
Kaci passed her Family Nurse Practitioner Boards in September 2025 and transitioned to her new role in October. Her healthcare career began 28 years ago as a licensed practical nurse at a long-term care facility in Dickinson, North Dakota. While working, she continued her education to become a registered nurse, earning her degree from Dickinson State University.
After graduation, Kaci moved to Idaho, where she gained valuable experience in several specialties including Telemetry, Med/Surg, Orthopedics, ICU, NICU, and the Emergency Department.
In 2007, Kaci returned to the Sidney area to raise her family and joined the ENT Clinic. Three years later, she became the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Director, helping patients recover from cardiac events and respiratory illnesses through education and monitored rehabilitation programs.
Kaci returned to the ENT Clinic in 2015, working alongside Dr. Brett Bennion, where she became an integral part of the practice. Encouraged by her colleagues and inspired by her passion for patient care, Kaci pursued her nurse practitioner degree to further her contributions to the team.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner in the ENT Clinic, Kaci evaluates and treats ear, nose, and throat conditions for patients of all ages while providing pre- and post-operative care.
“Sidney Health Center is proud to help encourage and support our employees in their aspirations to continue higher education pursuits,” said Jennifer Doty, Sidney Health Center CEO. “We are excited for Kaci to transition into the advanced practice provider role and continue serving our patients with the same compassion and expertise she has demonstrated throughout her career.”
A native of Savage, Montana, Kaci is deeply rooted in the community. She has two sons and a granddaughter and enjoys photography—particularly sports photography—and often captures local high school events as a freelance photographer for a local newspaper. Kaci has also been active in her church as a Sunday school teacher, confirmation guide, and council member, as well as a supporter of the Sidney Wrestling Club and Sidney Eagle Booster Club.
When asked what inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare, Kaci shared, “I’m a caregiver at heart. I love learning, and in healthcare, you get the best of both worlds.”
In addition to Kaci, the ENT Clinic at Sidney Health Center includes Dr. Brett Bennion, Dr. Daniel Barker, Dr. Sanjay Prasad, and Patricia Cantrell, PA-C. To schedule an appointment, call 406-488-2380. A referral from a doctor or advanced practice provider is required.
