Lisa Scheetz Earns Wound Care Certification
Lisa Scheetz has always been passionate about caring for others, especially within the geriatric community. In 2018, after her children were grown, friends encouraged her to pursue a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She quickly discovered how much she loved the work and decided to continue her education.
In 2022, Lisa became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and by 2023, she advanced to a Registered Nurse (RN) role at Sidney Health Center Extended Care.
Upon starting her RN position, Lisa recognized a need for additional education in skin and wound care. Determined to earn an accredited certification, she sought out further experience and training. Always eager to grow and take on new challenges, she enrolled in courses focused on skin assessment, treatment, and prevention.
Her dedication paid off as she successfully earned her Wound Care Certified (WCC) credential through the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO), fulfilling a personal goal.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys traveling to visit her children and spending time camping.
