From CNA to BSN: Crysta Schulz’s Healthcare Journey
Sidney Health Center is proud to recognize Crysta Schulz for her dedication to education, professional growth, and patient care.
A Sidney native and mom of two, Crysta began her healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Extended Care right out of high school. After having children of her own, she decided to return to school to further her education and quickly realized nursing was the perfect fit for her.
While working part time in the clinic, Crysta earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) before continuing her education to achieve her Registered Nurse (RN) degree in 2020. Throughout her healthcare journey, she has served Sidney Health Center as a CNA, LPN, and RN, demonstrating a strong commitment to her patients, her profession and the organization.
After completing her associate degree in nursing, Crysta continued pursuing her goals and recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) this past spring. She has spent the past several years working in Labor and Delivery and is grateful for the support she has received while balancing school, work, and family life.
Outside of work, Crysta enjoys traveling with her family, especially beach vacations, and spending time renovating their home. She hopes her journey encourages others, especially moms considering returning to school or pursuing a healthcare career, to believe they can successfully balance family, work, and achieve their personal goals.
Congratulations Crysta on this fantastic milestone achievement!
